1. These General Terms and Conditions govern the rights and obligations of Kovács-Buka Mirjam Sole Proprietor, the operator of the “Game of Rooms” escape rooms (hereinafter: “Service Provider”) (registered office: 4002 Debrecen, Poszáta utca 15, registration number: 54877072, tax number: 56241750-1-29), and the users (hereinafter: “User or Player/Players”) of the “Game of Rooms” service (hereinafter: “Game”) as presented on the Service Provider’s website.

2. The Service Provider reserves the right to unilaterally modify these General Terms and Conditions, and any such modifications must be promptly published on the website.

3. The website www.gameofrooms.hu (hereinafter: “Website”) mentioned in point 2 is the property of the Service Provider.

4. Description of the service (hereinafter: “Game”) and participation conditions:

• The Game can be played with prior reservation, which can be made online via the Website, by phone, or in person at the Service Provider’s premises.
• The Game location is at the Service Provider’s premises: 4024 Debrecen, Szent Anna utca 31, ground floor, end of the corridor.
• The Game is led by the Game Master (hereinafter: “Game Master”), who may be the Service Provider or a person appointed by them.
• The instructions of the Game Master before and during the Game are mandatory for the Players.
• Each Game lasts a maximum of 60 minutes. If Players wish to extend this time, it will be considered a new Game. The new Game may begin immediately, depending on the Service Provider’s availability, or at a new reserved time.
• Before the Game begins, the Service Provider must inform the Players about the rules and the game process.
• The Game can be played by teams of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 people, though exceptions can be made in special cases.
• The Game can be played by adults with legal capacity, or minors accompanied by a legal guardian or with a signed statement from a legal representative.
• The Service Provider must display the recommended age limit based on the nature of the Game on the Website. Players can participate in the Game at their own risk, regardless of the age limit, with the presence or signed statement of a legal guardian.
• The Game takes place in closed rooms, often with poor visibility, light effects, and sound effects. The Game can cause mental stress or psychological injury. Therefore, we strongly advise Players with claustrophobia, epilepsy, heart disease, panic disorder, other phobias, or any unspecified condition that may cause physical or psychological harm during the Game, not to participate.
• The Service Provider is not responsible for any personal injuries that may occur.
• Players are advised to wear comfortable clothing, as it may get dirty during the Game.
• Standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting, and stretching may occur during the Game.
• Sharp, cutting, or otherwise dangerous tools are prohibited from being brought into the game area.
• Each Player participates in the Game at their own risk and by their own choice.
• The Game is conducted in Hungarian.
• Players are obligated to:
– Use the furnishings of the Game appropriately. Climbing on or exerting force on the furnishings is prohibited.
– Protect the integrity of the Game’s equipment. Breaking, tearing, or damaging them must be avoided.
– Follow the rules provided by the Service Provider and cooperate with the Game Master at all times.
– If Players cause damage due to improper use of the equipment or failure to follow the rules, they are responsible for compensating the damage.
– Players under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other mind-altering substances, or exhibiting improper behavior, or not complying with the rules, may be excluded from the Game.
– Players must notify the Game Master if they notice any dangerous situation or damaged equipment in the room. They must also report if they or their teammates feel unwell.
– Audio and video recording at the Service Provider’s premises, including video, is only permitted with the written consent of the Service Provider.
– Players are prohibited from disclosing the details of the Game to the public or any third party.
– A camera system operates throughout the Game area to ensure the gaming experience, surveillance, and the safety of the Players.
– The Service Provider is not liable for any errors that occur during the Game or for malfunctions of the Website.

5. Reservation:

• By making a reservation, the User agrees to these General Terms and Conditions and the Data Protection Notice.
• Reservations can be made on the Website, by phone, or in person for available times listed on the Website.
• The following information is required when making a reservation:
– The number of Players,
– the desired time,
– the name of the reserving Player,
– email address,
– and phone number.
• The User must provide accurate information when making a reservation.
• The User must inform the Service Provider in the notes section if they intend to use any promotions, discounts, or vouchers.
• The Service Provider may require proof of eligibility for discounts or promotions.
• A confirmation email will be sent after a successful reservation.
• Before the reserved time, the Service Provider may contact the User via the provided contact details.
• By making a reservation, the User agrees to pay the game fee in cash at the location or by bank transfer in advance.
• Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the reserved time. If made within 24 hours, the Service Provider is not obligated to refund the fee.
• Players must arrive at the Game location 10-15 minutes before the reserved time.
• Players cannot be accommodated if they arrive more than 15 minutes early.
• In case of late arrival, the game time may be shortened. If Players are more than 30 minutes late, they will not be able to play.
• The Service Provider reserves the right to close the Game and may cancel or suggest a replacement time with prior notice.

6. Payment:

• The price of each Game depends on the number of participants.
• The prices for each Game are listed on the Website.
• Payment can be made on-site in cash, by card, or with a valid “Game of Rooms” voucher.
• Payment in advance can be made by bank transfer to the account number listed on the Website. Please include the name and the number of Players in the transfer notes.
• A maximum of one discount can be applied per Game.

7. Voucher:

• Gift vouchers can be ordered via the Website by filling out a form, where the following information must be provided:
– the buyer’s name,
– email address,
– how many people the voucher is for,
– billing address,
– shipping address,
– the name on the voucher,
For companies:
– company name and
– tax number.
• The price of the gift voucher can be paid by bank transfer, and the buyer’s name should be included in the transfer notes.
• The voucher entitles the holder to one-time participation in the Game with the specified number of participants at the locations and during the period listed on the voucher.
• The voucher is valid for six months from the date of issue.
• When booking online or by phone, the intention to pay with the voucher must be indicated by providing the voucher number.
• The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash and is valid only for the specified service.
• The User can choose to receive the voucher by email or postal delivery (+800 HUF).
• The printed voucher must be presented when used. Vouchers received electronically must be shown on an electronic device or printed before the Game begins.
• The voucher can be freely transferred and entitles the holder to use the service. The Service Provider does not verify ownership upon use unless the User specifically requested a named voucher.
• The voucher cannot be refunded or exchanged, and no change will be given from its value.
• The Service Provider is not responsible for any financial loss resulting from the loss or intentional theft of the voucher by a third party.
• By placing a valid reservation, the User automatically accepts the general terms and conditions regarding the voucher and the Game.

8. Coupons and promotions:

• The Service Provider may announce promotions periodically.
• The conditions of the promotions must be met in order to take advantage of them.
• The duration and terms of the promotions will be published by the Service Provider no later than the start of the promotion on the Website or on the Facebook page (Game of Rooms Debrecen Escape Room).

9. Newsletter:

• The Service Provider offers the opportunity to subscribe to the Newsletter. After subscribing, the User will receive information, opportunities, news, and promotions related to the Games.
• Subscribing to the Newsletter and providing the related data is always voluntary.
• The Service Provider maintains a record of the data provided by the User. Data recorded in this register can only be shared with a third party with the prior consent of the User.
• The User authorizes the Service Provider to handle this data in accordance with Act CXII of 2011 on the right to information self-determination and freedom of information, and Act CVIII of 2001 on certain issues related to electronic commerce services and information society services, until consent is withdrawn.
• The User may unsubscribe from the Newsletter service at any time without restriction and without providing a reason, free of charge. In such a case, the Service Provider will immediately delete the User’s data from the register. The User can withdraw consent by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the Newsletter.
